I’ve always believed that an artist’s statement should be restricted to what’s revealed in the work itself, but written statements are often required, so here is mine:
My approach to photography and is influenced by my lengthy career as a writer and director/cinematographer, so I'm always thinking about the story, about what happened before and what will happen after the instant the shutter closes.
Thematically, I am most interested in the most basic of human experiences, and I try to portray these in something pleasing to look at with as much celebration of humanity as possible.
