I've been DJing for 12 years and working in radio for 14, both in the UK and New Zealand. I've DJed in bars, clubs, restaurants, for corporate functions, VIP parties etc. Highlights so far include playing for the VIP opening of The Living Room in Leeds, winning the DJ of the Year award 2003 (Living Ventures UK) and warming up for DJ Sonique at Mosquito in Liverpool. I love to play sophisticated soul, funk, rare groove, acid jazz....where there's a lovely vibe and people are caught by a song they haven't heard in ages which perhaps brings back great memories to them, or makes them mouth "What was that?" (in a good way!!) I love to help make someone's night out a great one, which coupled with my love of music is why I love to DJ! Artists I love include Rahsaan Patterson, Swing Out Sister, Chaka Khan, Tom & Joyce, Maxwell, Roy Ayers....you know I heard Tania Maria "Come With Me" in Caffe Nero the other day and I nearly choked on my latte! Haven't heard that wonderful gem for ages...!
