I grew up in London in the late 1970s. Back then there was only one medium to see music on television and that was a programme called 'Top of The Pops'. All the cool teenagers then were either Skinheads, Punks or Rasatafarians. Ska was bang right in the middle. Two-Tone was its style code, epitomised here best by The Specials - Gangsters (1979).

The 'Summer of Love' II was in 1988. Acid-House and Ecstasy were really big. The Hacienda club in Manchester and illegal warehouse parties were happening all over England. I was at college failing some exam or other I can't remember. Then out of nowhere Soul II Soul founded by Jazzie B dropped this from Club Classics Vol. I (1989).

I went to Ibiza(Eivissa, Espana) in 1993. The clubs are the best in the world. Period! Amnesia, Pacha & Space are A-mazing! Foam Partys','Huge Circus Productions'and clubs that open at 7am. The very best DJs in the world all play here. I've been to Faliraki, Rhodes and South Beach, Miami and they're good but don't come close to Ibiza.
