Photography, captured correctly, is an artform. Our ability as humans to feel strongly for an image is profound, and I am fascinated how a photograph can conjure desire, fear and love. I aim to catch a moment of my own emotion, in order to evoke emotions in others I may never meet. Art transcends its artist, if it's any good, and its subject, if it's excellent. I defamiliarise, and capture what I myself see, from a unique viewpoint.

* I photograph a multitude of subjects with a Nikon D2Xs (my favourite lenses being an 85mm f1.4 and a 180mm telephoto) and an ancient Hasselblad 500c/m - Interestingly, both camera models have been used by NASA in outer space.

* Exhibited in the Getty Images galley, London after receiving a prize in the Hello! Young Photographer of the Year competition
