Don't Shoot the Photographer! OPEN MIC I

The weekend of Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th April 2009 in London was a scorcher, not only for being the hottest April in the UK on record but also for the red hot talent of the Open Mic performers that blessed the mic and photographers who exhibited their work at our 1st annual photographers exhibition 'Don't Shoot the Photographer!'.

So, multi-layered was the events fusion of real authentic earthy live music performances, great photography and an eclectic receptive crowd that we've had to create four (4) photo albums just to capture the fullness of 'Don't Shoot the Photographer!' as an event.

‘I had such a good time. I enjoyed seeing my friends in a different light and meeting new people, the music and atmosphere was fantastic’. [Meredith Boden]

‘I enjoyed the day immensely, no doubt due to the great acts on the day, the brilliant sun-drenched swanky studio, and, of course the ice cold Chardonnay! I’m already looking forward to the next one’. [Liz Linde]

‘I really liked it. I felt comfortable sitting there in the sun with my beer listening to some very interesting and diverse music. I love the fact that they all put themselves out there and felt that comfortable playing in front of people! Everyone had something out on show and that really encourages people to relax whilst showing their own creativity (how cool is that?!) Plus everyone had the time of day to take the time to appreciate everyone’s work’. [Stefano Campigli]

Below are just some of the photographs from 'Open Mic I'. Also, check out the 'Open Mic II', 'Backstage' and the 'Exhibition' gallery.
